First Blog - Unicef Day for Change - posted

On Friday 16th June, our school will be supporting Unicef's Day for Change to raise money for malnourished children in Liberia. The students will be learning about every child's right to nutritious food and what we can do to help those who do not have enough to eat.  We will be asking students to design and make a money container to fill with spare change from family and friends to support Unicef's important work. We will also be having a family event, where parents and carers are invited to join us for a whole school picnic. More information to follow soon.

History Day - posted

On Monday 23rd January we held a history day. The whole school joined in with opportunities to explore exciting artefacts from the Powell-Cotton Museum, including skulls of a baby elephant and a lion. Manny Mvula and his assistant Emma Jayne presented an interactive story about Percy and his Adventures. Manny’s great expertise, enthusiasm and energy made Percy’s near-death encounter with a lion come to life for the pupils in a vibrant and full of action way.

Staff Visit to Foreland Fields School - posted

Yesterday evening, some of the staff from the school were able to go over to the new Foreland Fields site. For some this was their first visit. All were impressed with the school and, in particular, the size of the rooms and the amount of additional resources for pupils and students including the hydrotherapy room and specialist classes.
