Shakespeare for Schools Charity Gala

On 14th November Foreland Fields students were invited to perform at the Shakespeare for Schools Gala Dinner.

The event was held at the Senate House Library, London, with special guests including Dame Harriet Walker, Paterson Joseph, and John Heffernan.

Only 3 other schools had been invited to perform on the evening. The 4 schools had been chosen due to their success on the stage from performances last year: Foreland Fields had performed with the Shakespeare for Schools company at the Gulbenkian Theatre, Canterbury, back in 2018 and had impressed everybody there.

On the event night Foreland Fields students performed an extract from Romeo and Juliet to an audience of over 300. As always they shone with their enthusiasm and gave a truly polished performance with a resounding applause from the audience at the end.
