We have had a few positive COVID cases across the school this week. Can I please remind parents/carers not to send their child into school if they are displaying any of the common symptoms of COVID-19, namely:
• High temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
• New, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours
• Loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
Parents/carers should also be aware of the reported symptoms of the new Omicron variant which can include:
• Runny nose
• Headache
• Fatigue (mild or severe)
• Sneezing
• Sore throat
Can we again urge parents of any secondary aged child to ensure that, if possible, their children are tested twice a week using Lateral Flow Device tests. Please send in results to your child’s class teacher via Dojo, email or home school contact book. Should any parent require lateral flow devices please request them from your child’s class teacher.
