Speech, Language and Communication provision at Foreland Fields is supported by Nikki Gray in the role of SLCN Lead Teacher.
Nikki works closely with our staff team, parents/carers, our link NHS S< provision and the KMCAT Team to ensure a ‘total communication’ approach is available across the school and our satellite provisions.
Nikki has an overview of all matters related to Speech, Language and Communication Needs, including how these needs are best met within our curriculum pathways. This includes developing Literacy and a love for reading.
Why not join us at the next Communication Workshop? Everyone who supports a student at Foreland Fields is welcome - friends, family, carers.
We look at ways to increase communication opportunities at home and in the wider community using signs and symbols. It's also a great opportunity to meet and chat with other families over a cuppa.
